I'm not sure people believe me when I tell them that I enjoy auditing – but it's the truth! Being detailed and process-driven, spending a couple of hours absorbed in a client file is my idea of a good time.

And it might seem like a contradiction, but I'm also a people person, and I really love working with our fantastic clients. The coaching and education part of the job is a highlight for me.

Recently, I helped transform how one of our clients delivers advice by using technology and completely redesigning their advice documents. The new approach has proven incredibly efficient and empowering for their advisers and support staff, and their clients absolutely love it. Seeing that kind of positive change is what makes this work really rewarding.

Off the clock you'll likely find me in my garden, though I'm not exactly winning the battle against the weeds. We do grow some pretty amazing food though – everything from greens and tomatoes to asparagus, berries, apples and figs.

On rainy days, I'm usually curled up with a book or watching some kind of regency drama on TV (I'm particularly fond of Jane Austen adaptations).

Living in a small country town (Braidwood, NSW) means my admin and finance skills are always in demand. I serve as treasurer for a volunteer group that runs a beautiful historic hall – an amazing community space used for exercise classes, meetings, parties and weddings.

I also work as my husband's assistant when he runs monthly trivia at our local club. Marking answer sheets for around 14 teams over 8 rounds is chaotic, loud and lots of fun.
